What to do when a wire is pocking out
If you have a loose bracket or band, don’t wait—call our office right away. While this isn’t always a true emergency, it can cause discomfort and delay your treatment if not addressed promptly.
Our team is here to help. We’ll guide you on what to do next and schedule an urgent visit if needed. In the meantime, avoid hard or sticky foods, and if the bracket is irritating your mouth, cover it with orthodontic wax.
What to do when a brace comes off
If a bracket or brace comes off, don’t panic—it happens occasionally during orthodontic treatment. While it’s not always an emergency, it’s important to let us know as soon as possible so we can prevent delays in your progress.
